Iranian media reports that 16 commercial vessels were destroyed in a joint U.S. and Israeli strike on the port of Bandar Lengeh in southern Iran.
According to officials cited by Tasnim, the vessels were completely burned following the attack, which also affected nearby Bandar Kong. The ships reportedly belonged to local civilians and were used for regional trade and livelihoods.
The strike marks a significant escalation targeting maritime assets along the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route already under heavy tension.
